Vegan Vietnamese Cooking & Culture Experience
Hosted by Two Roots Vegan
Step into a Vietnamese kitchen and into the stories that shape it.
Join us for an intimate, hands-on vegan cooking class where you’ll learn to prepare two beloved Vietnamese dishes from scratch: a deeply aromatic plant-based phở and crispy, savory mushroom dill cakes inspired by northern Vietnamese flavors.
But this is more than a recipe class.
At Two Roots Vegan, we believe food is culture. So alongside cooking, you’ll take part in a short immersive activity exploring how Vietnamese meals are built around balance, climate, history, and community. Through storytelling and guided discussion, you’ll learn why herbs matter, how communal dining shapes relationships, and what “balance” really means in Vietnamese cuisine.
What You’ll Experience
- 🍜 Learn to make authentic vegan phở broth and noodles from scratch
- 🌿 Prepare mushroom dill cakes with fresh herbs and dipping sauce
- 🥢 Discover key cultural principles behind Vietnamese cooking
- 🌏 Participate in a 30-minute immersive cultural activity
- 🍽 Share a family-style meal at the end
We’ll guide you patiently through each step, from toasting spices for broth to achieving the perfect herb balance. Whether you’re a confident home cook or stepping into the kitchen for the first time, you’ll feel supported.
You’ll also receive:
- Printed recipes to recreate the dishes at home
- QR code video guides for future reference
Who Is This For?
