Instant Pho in a jar is a convenient and super quick method to prepare authentic Pho, encompassing all the essential elements within a single mason jar. With just 10 minutes of preparation, you can savor its delightful flavors.

Ingredients

To make the Instant Pho in a jar, you'll need:

  • Mason jars or salad jars
  • Pho rice noodles
  • Mushrooms
  • Firm or medium-firm
  • Cilantro
  • Scallions
  • Small onion
  • Thai red chili peppers

Seasoning:

  • Pho seasoning paste (or bouillon cubes)
  • Soy sauce
  • Spices like star anise, cardamom and cinnamon

Instructions

Cut the tofu into small cubes. Fry them in oil until golden brown on both sides.

Cut the mushrooms into thin slices and fry them in oil until golden and crispy on both sides.

Soak the rice noodles in room-temperature water for a few minutes to soften them (but do not cook them).

In each mason jar or glass salad jar, place the dry rice noodles at the bottom. Divide the seasoning, soy sauce and spices equally between the jars. Layer the fried tofu, mushrooms, vegan ham, cilantro, scallions, onion slices and chili peppers.

Close the jars tightly and refrigerate for up to 3 days.

Layer the mushroom and tofu

Layer the fried tofu, mushroom and vegan ham

Add the garnishes and close the jars

Garnish with cilantro, scallions, and chili pepper

When ready to eat, pour hot water over the mason jar or into a bowl with the toppings. Cover and let it sit for 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.

After 5 minutes, give the contents a good stir and enjoy your delicious Pho!

Ingredients

  • 200g Pho rice noodles
  • 2 tbsp cooking oil (for frying)

Seasonings:

  • 1 cube pho seasoning paste (or 1 vegetable bouillon cube)
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • Pho spices (2 cinnamon sticks, 2 star anise, 2 cardamom)

Toppings:

  • 200g tofu
  • 200g king oyster mushrooms (sub with other mushrooms of choice)
  • A few slices of vegan ham (optional)
  • 25g cilantro
  • 3 scallions (thinly sliced)
  • 1 small onion (thinly sliced)
  • 2 Thai bird-eye chili peppers

Instructions

  1. Cut the tofu into small cubes. Fry them in oil until golden brown on both sides.
