Strawberry Matcha Latte

Jump to Recipe·Print Recipe

Introducing your new favorite plant-based drink.

This drink is inspired by Boba Guys - a milk tea chain from San Francisco. I've always been fascinated with this unique combination of matcha and strawberries since it got popular last year. It does not only looks good but also create a balanced and delicious drink. This is my go-to drink as we are approaching the warmer months and when I need something fresh and tasty!

If you have tried my recipe, please let me know what you think by leaving me a review on this page or tagging me on Instagram @veggieanh. I would love to see your creations!

Description

A refreshing and unique drink that is perfect for the spring and summer months. The earthy taste from the matcha combined with the sweetness from the strawberries create a delicious combination.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 4-5 strawberries
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 250 ml plant milk (I use oat milk)
  • 2 tsp matcha powder
  • 180 ml hot water
  • ice

Instructions

  1. Dice the strawberries into cubes. Blend or mash the strawberries with a fork, add sugar and mix. Let it sit while you prepare the other ingredients.
  2. In a bowl, add the matcha powder with the warm water, whisk until fully incorporated and there is foam on top.
  3. In a serving glass/jar, add the strawberry mix, followed by oat milk, and gently pour in the matcha.
